Natürlich waren wir zur Eröffnung der Nationalen Meisterschaft der Fallschirmspringer San Nicolas de Bari. Die Veranstaltung wurde im Baseball-Stadion der Stadt durchgeführt. Schnell fanden wir dort einen Platz, der beste Bedingungen für einen guten Start zu bieten konnte. Der Wind war teilweise ein wenig zu stark und lag zwischen 18 bis 22 Stundenkilometer, durchmischt mit kräftigen Böen. Die Veranstaltung begann um 10 Uhr morgens mit den ersten Sprüngen der Skydiver. Nach dem ersten Überflug der Maschine und nachdem die Springer mit dem ersten Sprung gelandet waren, ging auch ich mit dem Motorschirm in die Luft. Zum Erstaunen der vielen Menschen, die nicht verstanden, was sie für ein Spektakel sie da erleben durften. Ich nutzte meine Chance, mich vom Areal des Stadions zu entfernen und nahm Kurs himmelwärts nach oben. Mit etwa 150 bis 200 Metern Höhe, begann ich zu steile Kurven zu fliegen, deren Bahn über das Baseball Stadion führten um rasch wegzufliegen und mich wieder anzunähern. Gegen Ende flog ich zwei tiefe Runden über dem Stadion, damit die Leute sehen konnten, was für ein Fluggerät da unterwegs war und landete etwa 2 oder 3 Meter vor dem Landepunkt der für die Fallschirmspringer in der Mitte des Stadions ausgelegt war. Ciertamente, estuvimos en la inauguracion del Campeonato Nacional de Paracaidismo en San Nicolas de Bari. Alli se realizo en el estadio de pelota de ese pueblo y nosotros nos fuimos al lado, en un terreno que estaba bien comodo para garantizar un buen despegue. El viento estaba soplando un poco fuerte, entre los 10 y 12 nudos y a veces hasta rachoso. LA inauguracion empezo a las 10am y luego los saltos en paracaidas. Luego del 1er pase del avion con los 1ros saltos, me fui para el aire con el paramotor, ante la mirada atonita de mucha gente que no comprendian aquel artefacto. Evidentemente sali del area buscando altura de seguridad y ya luego a unos 150 o 200 metros, empecé a girar y a acomodarme para hacer pases rasantes en el estadio de beisbol. Hice 2 vuelos bajos en el estadio, para que la gente vieran de lo que se trataba y luego aterricé a unos 2 o 3 metros de la diana de precision de paracaidismo situada en el centro del estadio.Of course, we went to the inauguration of the National SkydivingChampionships in San Nicolas de Bari. All was performed in the baseball stadion of the town and we took off in a place that had nice conditions to ensure a good start. The wind was blowing a bit strong, between 18 to 22 km/h and some squall. The event began at 10 in the morning with the parachute jump. After the 1st pass of the plane with the 1st jump, I went to the air with the paramotor equipment, to the astonishment of many people who did not understand what they witness. I took my chance to leave the area and heading for a security height and with about 150 or 200 meters, I began to fly soft spiral like circles getting closer to the baseball stadion and moving away repeatadly. I flew two low rounds over the stadium so people could see what equipment it was and then landed about 2 or 3 meters of the precision target for the parachutes in the center of the stadium.
